1967 Shelby GT500 - 4 Speed
This beautiful 1967 Shelby GT500 was purchased from us several years ago by one of our Canadian customers. He is currently making plans to move his family and business from Canada to the US, and wants to sell a portion of his collection before the move.
We know this car well and examined it thoroughly before the current owner purchased it from us.
The engine and transmission have been rebuilt to factory specs and have less than 500 miles on them since then. The Shelby VIN and Ford VIN are a match. The options include a 4 speed toploader transmission, power front disc brakes, power steering, extra cooling package, courtesy light group, interior décor group, fold down rear seat, and heavy duty battery.
It is fully documented in the latest edition of the Shelby American Automobile Club (“SAAC”) Registry, and by a Marti Report (see “MartiAuto.com” for more information).
Over the last 45 years, this desireable '67 Shelby has been cared for by four owners. At some point in its life, the original 428 P.I. block was removed and replaced with a 427 block, with components from the 428 being installed on the 427 block. A subsequent owner replaced the 427 block with the correct 428 block, at which time the engine was rebuilt and reinstalled in the car. All of the original components (cylinder heads, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, timing cover) were removed from the original engine, rebuilt, and installed on the 428 block.
It was restored in 2015 to the original Wimbledon White exterior color and has always been kept in a climate controlled environment. For the last several years, it has been stored in a plastic bubble keeping moisture and dust away.
The exterior paint is exceptionally nice, and the interior was replaced during restoration. It is in excellent overall condition.
