1969 Mustang Shelby GT 500 - 4 speed
Some would classify 1969 Shelby GT500 Mustangs as "street beasts". Not only is this 1969 GT500 a power performer, it's also largely original and a very collectible Shelby, destined for continued appreciation.
After assembly in Livonia, Michigan, it was shipped to Northwestern Motor Car Company in Milwaukie Wisconsin, and shortly thereafter sold to it's original owner. It was well maintained over its early life, and a number of warranty services were performed on this GT500 during its first year. These included the clutch, power steering, trim panels, window adjustment, and tightening of the hood and exterior trim. A very few number of items on this 1969 Shelby GT500 are replacements, with most of the OEM parts boxed up and ready to be transferred with the car.
After some minor sheet metal work, it was repainted the correct Jade Green by Jim Cowles, of Shelby Parts and Restoration. Jim's attention to detail is evident. It was restored to original factory specifications with black interior, a 4 speed top loader close-ratio transmission, power steering, power front disc brakes, power ventilation, and tilt steering wheel. This GT500 is clean throughout, and priced well below market.
